Transfer Scholarships

Note: These scholarships are targeted to those students transferring from another institution to the University of Maryland. will award two $1,000 scholarships annually in each of the fall and spring semesters to students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programs at any accredited United States college or university.

Deadlines are Dec. 15th and May 15th of each year was created to help meet the demand for qualified computer scientists in the workforce. We provide an in-depth overview of the field – including education – and serve as an introduction for the next generation of programmers, engineers and developers.

The Most Promising Logo Design Scholar will be awarded to one deserving applicant who: Has completed 1 year of coursework in graphic or product design, branding or marketing Has demonstrated unique promise in logo design and developing visual identities

The Board of Regents has designated the Weinberg Regents Scholarship to be awarded to a Maryland community college transfer student in order to continue the commitment to outstanding students. In order to be selected for this award, a student must have exceptional qualifications, including achievement of a 4.0 grade point average, completion of the Associates of Arts degree at a Maryland community college, evidence of creative and intellectual activities or scholarly potential, and have been admitted to one of the University of Maryland System institutions. The winner may receive the scholarship for two years, totaling no more than four semesters (including summer sessions).


Students from all walks of life are encouraged to apply for the $2000 scholarship. Students who plan to attend college or a university or those who are already enrolled and will be attending an additional year of education can apply for the scholarship. There is no age requirement for college scholarships offered by us.
