Transfer Academic Excellence Scholarship Program
This two year scholarship is available to outstanding students transferring from Maryland community colleges. To be eligible students must have completed 56 or more credits or have an Associates of Arts degree and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. The award covers in-state tuition for two years of undergraduate study. Candidate nomination forms are available in late December from the UM Undergraduate Admissions Office or from community college advisers. The deadline for receipt of application, official transcripts, and scholarship materials is March 1st. Students who are selected for an interview will be notified towards the end of April and final decisions will be released in mid May.
