College and Departmental Scholarships

Some UM colleges and departments offer merit-based scholarships to academically competitive prospective freshmen, current, and transfer students. To find out more information regarding these awards please contact the specific college and/or department.

The Most Promising Logo Design Scholar will be awarded to one deserving applicant who: Has completed 1 year of coursework in graphic or product design, branding or marketing Has demonstrated unique promise in logo design and developing visual identities

The positive benefits of continuing on with law school far exceed the pitfalls and other obstacles to ultimate success on your educational journey as a student, intern or extern. But there are times when superlative individuals deserve recognition in order to show them that merit deserves recognition. Thus, our serious injury law firm has decided to help those students who are going the extra mile, and have established two $500.00 law school scholarship funds, and one paralegal studies scholarship to show our support.

The APA is offering various grants, scholarships, awards, and fellowships to graduate psychology students pursuing doctoral degrees or graduate research. Additional fellowships and programs are also offered for minority psychology graduate students.

NMPDC Medical Accessions Department

The Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) can provide tuition assistance for up to four years of school (two years for PA masters degree), a monthly stipend of $2,122, as well as all professional school required fees and expenses, books and equipment being paid by the Navy.

The Dreamkeepers Emergency Financial Assistance program at the University of Maryland is designed to assist students who are experiencing temporary hardships and provide assistance to students at risk of dropping out due to unexpected financial problems. Please note the Dreamkeepers Emergency Assistance Grant can not be used to pay for costs related to books or tuition and mandatory fees. In order to qualify for the Dreamkeepers Emergency Assistance Grant students must meet the following criteria:

* Undergraduate Students at the University of Maryland * Enrolled in a degree seeking program * Registered for at least 6 credits

The Dreamkeepers Emergency Assistance Grant can be used to assist students with:

* Delinquent off campus living expenses (i.e. rent/mortgage payment) * Delinquent utility bills * Delinquent Medical Expenses not covered by insurance * Food related expenses (i.e. groceries)
