Study Abroad Financial Aid Information Page

Studying abroad, whether for a year, semester, or short-term, is an exciting opportunity to take advantage of during your time at UM. Our Office is eager to assist you with understanding financial concerns associated with going abroad before, during, and after your program. While we cannot offer additional grant or scholarship funds for study abroad programs, eligible students may apply their standard financial aid awards toward approved study abroad programs. There are several program options for UM students. These are organized into the following categories:

  • The Study Abroad Financial Aid Counselor will update the cost of attendance (COA) for participants to reflect the program costs, and will ensure that financial aid is disbursed ten (10) days before the start of the appropriate term at UM.
