1. What kinds of scholarships are available to current students?
2. I am a current student but never applied for financial aid. What is the Award Process?
3. Will my financial aid be renewed every year?
   • Financial Aid usually consists of funds from a variety of sources. Financial Aid awards (i.e. UM Scholarship, Direct Loans, and Federal Work-Study) can be renewable year-to-year provided that a FAFSA form is submitted by February 15th and that the student shows financial need as determined by the Office of Student Aid.
   • If you receive a merit, departmental, or private scholarship please contact the office where you are receiving the funds from to find out if renewal of your scholarship is possible.
   • Students who receive a PLUS or Alternative loan will need to apply and receive an approval for funding. Note: PLUS loan recipients will need to complete a PLUS loan request form each year.
4. My financial aid package drastically changed from last year to this year. What can I do?
   • Please contact the financial aid office so that a Financial Aid Counselor can review your information.
5. My family is experiencing a financial hardship this year. What can I do?
6. I need to take a loan out. How much should I borrow?
